प्रदीप ज्वालाभिर्दिवसकर नीराजनविधिः
सुधा सुतेश्चन्द्रोपल जलल वैरर्घ्यरचना।
स्वकीयैरम्भोभिः सलिलनिधि सौहित्यकरणं
त्वदीयाभिर्वाग्भिस्तव जननि वाचां स्तुतिरियम्॥

Oh! Bhagavthy, I have penned this poem
borrowing words from you who is the source of all words and who is not separate
from the words themselves. I realize that it is just like showing a small hand
lamp to the mighty Sun who is the source of all lights. It is like serving a
little bit of water to Moon knowing that the same water has been oozed out of
the lunar stone. It is also like offering a handful of sea water as oblation to
the sea itself. Pray, bless me mother, as I complete this poem to extoll the
inexplicable beauty personified as You.
പ്രദീപ ജ്വാലാഭിര് ദിവസകര നീരാജനവിധി:
സുധാസുതേശ്ചന്ദ്രോപല ജലല വൈരര്ഘ്യ രചനാ
സ്വകീയൈരംഭോഭി: സലിലനിധി സൌഹിത്യ കരണം
ത്വദീയാഭിര് വാഗ്ഭിസ്തവ ജനനി വാചാം സ്തുരീയം.
അല്ലയോ ഭഗവതീ, വെറുമൊരു കൈവിളക്കിനാല് പ്രകാശത്തിന്റെ ഉറവിടമായ ആദിത്യഭഗവാന് ദീപാരാധന
ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെയും, ചന്ദ്രകാന്തജലം കൊണ്ട് ചന്ദ്രന് തന്നെ അര്ഘ്യം നല്കുന്നതുപോലെയും, സമുദ്രജലം കൈക്കുമ്പിളില് എടുത്ത് സമുദ്രത്തിനു തന്നെ തര്പ്പണം
ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെയുമാണ് ഞാനീ സ്തുതി രചിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. വാക്കുകള്ക്ക് മാതാവായ ദേവയെ
സ്തുതിക്കാനായി ഞാന് വാഗഭിന്നയായ അവിടുത്തെ തന്നെ വാക്കുകള് കടമെടുത്താണ് ഈ
സ്തോത്രം ചമച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ജഗത്തിന് മുഴുവന് അമ്മയായ ഭഗവതീ, അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചാലും.
