धनुः पौष्पं मौर्वी मधुकरमयी पञ्च विशिखाः
वसन्तः सामन्तो मलयमरुदायोधनरथः।
तथाप्येकः सर्वं हिमगिरिसुते कामपि कृपां
अपाङ्गात्ते लब्ध्वा जगदिदमनङ्गो विजयते॥
dhanuḥ pauṣpaṁ maurvī madhukaramayī pañca viśikhāḥ
vasantaḥ sāmantou malayamarudāyodhanarathaḥ|
tathāpyekaḥ sarvaṁ himagirisute kāmapi kṛpāṁ
apāṅgātte labdhvā jagadidamanaṅgo vijayate||
Oh mother Parvathi!, daughter of Himalaya mountain, only because of your blessings, Kamadeva is reigning the world travelling in his chariot made of fragrance-filled air blowing from Malaya mountains with the help of spring season. His weapon is only a flower bow with five flower arrows. It’s bow string is made of a row of honeybees. However, he wields his power successfully over everyone in the world because of your kind blessings despite being devoid of a physical body for himself. (Lord Siva had scorched his body to ashes)
ധനു: പൌഷ്പം മൌര്വീ മധുകരമയീ പഞ്ചവിശിഖാ:
അമ്മേ, ഭഗവതീ, ഹിമവാന്റെ പുത്രിയായ ദേവീ, അവിടുത്തെ കൃപാ കടാക്ഷ കാരുണ്യലേശം ലഭിക്കയാല് മാത്രമാണ് ദേഹരഹിതനായിട്ടു പോലും കാമദേവന് മലയമാരുതനാകുന്ന തേരില്ക്കയറി വസന്തഋതുവിനെ സാമന്തനാക്കി വെറും പുഷ്പചാപവും പൂക്കളെക്കൊണ്ടു തന്നെയുള്ള പഞ്ചബാണങ്ങളും തേന്വണ്ടിന്നിരകളാകുന്ന ഞാണും ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഈ ലോകത്തുള്ള സകലരെയും ഒറ്റയ്ക്ക് കീഴടക്കി വിജയിക്കുന്നത്. (പരമശിവന്റെ ക്രോധത്തില് ഭസ്മമായതിനാല് കാമദേവന് ദേഹമില്ലാതെയാണ് വിലസുന്നത്.)
