त्वदीयं सौन्दर्यं तुहिनगिरिकन्ये तुलयितुं
कवीन्द्राः कल्पन्ते कथमपि विरिञ्चिप्रभृतयः।
यदालोकौत्सुक्यादमरललना यान्ति मनसा
तपोभिर्दुष्प्रापामपि गिरिशसायुज्यपदवीम्॥

tvadīyaṁ saundaryaṁ tuhinagirikanye tulayituṁ
kavīndrāḥ kalpante kathamapi viriñciprabhṛtayaḥ|
yadālokautsukyādamaralalanā yānti manasā
tapoubhirduṣprāpāmapi giriśasāyujyapadavīm||

Oh Devi, daughter of Himalaya Mountains, even a cortege of poets led by Brahma himself cannot do justice in describing your unique and ethereal beauty however hard they try to.  In order to see your beauty, the seeker must be in the state of Siva consciousness and see Her through His eyes. Heavenly damsels known for their gorgeousness want to behold your exquisite beauty and they achieve this by imagining themselves as males and assuming Siva consciousness vicariously as it is really difficult to attain that state of awareness even by doing severe penance for long.
