Soundarya Lahari 018

तनुच्छायाभिस्ते तरुणतरणिश्रीसरणिभिः
दिवं सर्वासुर्वीमरुणिमनिमग्नां स्मरति यः।
भवन्त्यस्य त्रस्यद्वनहरिणशालीननयनाः
सहोर्वश्या वश्याः कति कति न गीर्वाणगणिकाः॥

tanucchāyābhiste taruṇataraṇiśrīsaraṇibhiḥ
divaṁ sarvāsurvīmaruṇimanimagnāṁ smarati yaḥ |
bhavantyasya trasyadvanahariṇaśālīnanayanāḥ
sahorvaśyā vaśyāḥ kati kati na gīrvāṇagaṇikāḥ ||

Oh! Devi, those who meditate upon your subtly resplendent reddish hue as fully surrounding the entire earth and the heavens, attain the ability to entice young lasses all over. Beautiful damsels of the earth whose eyes resemble that of a frightened deer and a retinue of heavenly beauties led by none other than Urvashi herself would be ready to oblige you all the time.

തനുച്ഛായാഭിസ്തേ തരുണതരണി ശ്രീ സരണിഭി:

ദിവം സര്‍വ്വാമുര്‍വീമരുണിമ നിമഗ്നാം സ്മരതി യ:

ഭവന്ത്യസ്യ ത്രസ്യദ്വന ഹരിണശാലീന നയനാ:

സഹോര്‍വശ്യാ: വശ്യാ: കതി കതി ന ഗീര്‍വാണ ഗണികാ:

അല്ലയോ ദേവീ, എല്ലാടവും നിറഞ്ഞുപരക്കുന്ന ബാലാര്‍ക്കപ്രഭപോലെ അതിസൂക്ഷ്മമായ അവിടുത്തെ ദേഹകാന്തിയുടെ ഛായയില്‍ ഭൂമിയും ദേവലോകങ്ങളുമെല്ലാം അരുണശോണിമയില്‍ മുങ്ങി നില്‍ക്കുന്നതായി ധ്യാനിക്കുന്ന സാധകന് വശ്യയാവാത്ത ഏതു തരുണീമണിയാണുള്ളത്?  വിരണ്ട മാന്‍പേടകളുടേതുപോലെ ചാരുനയനങ്ങളുള്ള ഭൂലോക സുന്ദ രിമാരും സ്വര്‍ലോകത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ഗണികയായ ഉര്‍വശിയടക്കമുള്ള ദേവനാരിമാരുമെല്ലാം അവന്‍റെ സ്വാധീനത്തിലായിത്തീരും.
