जगत्सूते धाता हरिरवति रुद्रः क्षपयते
तिरस्कुर्वन्नेतत्स्वमपि वपुरीशस्तिरयति।
सदापूर्वः सर्वं तदिदमनुगृह्णाति च शिवः
तवाज्ञामालम्ब्य क्षणचलितयोर्भ्रूलतिकयोः॥

jagatsūte dhātā hariravati rudraḥ kṣapayate
tiraskurvannetatsvamapi vapurīśastirayati |
sadāpūrvaḥ sarvaṁ tadidamanugṛhṇāti ca śivaḥ
tavājñāmālambya kṣaṇacalitayorbhrūlatikayoḥ ||

Oh! Devi Bhagavathi, Brahma, Vishnu and Rudra are in charge of creation, sustenance and destruction, respectively. Iswara absorbs the trinity and then disappears himself. Sadasiva, the supreme soul blesses all these four as commanded by the momentary gestures of your eyebrows. Thus originates the longing in Him for the deluge and creation of the Universe of names and forms. 

ജഗത് സൂതേ ധാതാ ഹരിരവതി രുദ്ര: ക്ഷപയതേ

തിരസ്കുര്‍വന്നേതത് സ്വമപി വപുരീശസ്തിരയതി

സദാപൂര്‍വ്വ: സര്‍വ്വം തദിദ മനുഗൃഹ്ണാതി ച ശിവ:

തവാജ്ഞാമാലംബ്യ ക്ഷണചലിതയോ: ഭ്രൂലതികയോ:

അല്ലയോ ഭഗവതീ, ബ്രഹ്മാവ്‌ വിശ്വം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നു, മഹാവിഷ്ണു സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. രുദ്രന്‍ സംഹരിക്കുന്നു. ഇവരെയെല്ലാം ഈശ്വരന്‍ തന്നില്‍ ലയിപ്പിച്ചു സ്വയം മറയ്ക്കുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ഇവരെ നാല്‍വരെയും സദാശിവന്‍ എന്ന പരമാത്മാവ്‌ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത് അവിടുത്തെ പുരികക്കൊടിയുടെ ക്ഷണനേരത്തെ ചലനമാത്രമായ  ആജ്ഞയ്ക്ക് അനുസരിച്ചാണ്. അങ്ങിനെയാണല്ലോ ബ്രഹ്മാണ്ഡപ്രളയവും ബ്രഹ്മാണ്ഡസൃഷ്ടിയ്ക്കുള്ള ഇച്ഛയും സദാശിവനില്‍ ഉണ്ടാവുന്നത്.
