गते
कर्णाभ्यर्णं गरुत इव पक्ष्माणि दधती
पुरां भेत्तुश्चित्तप्रशमरसविद्रावणफले।
इमे नेत्रे गोत्राधरपतिकुलोत्तंसकलिके
तवाकर्णाकृष्टस्मरशरविलासं कलयतः॥

gate karṇābhyarṇaṁ garuta iva pakṣmāṇi dadhatī
purāṁ bhettuścittapraśamarasavidrāvaṇaphale |
ime netre gotrādharapatikulottaṁsakalike
tavākarṇākṛṣṭasmaraśaravilāsaṁ kalayataḥ ||

Oh! Devi! In my mind’s lotus I see you as an enchanting
flower bud, the celebrated daughter of the king of mountains, Himalaya, and I
see that your mighty long eyes are, extending all the way to your ears. Your
eye lashes resemble the feathers attached to the base of arrows of your gaze
towards your Lord Parameswara. Your eyes have the great fortune of arrows that are pulled
all the way to the ears in order to end the innate mood of serenity in your
Lord and to replace it with the mood of sringara.
