Soundarya Lahari 054

पवित्रीकर्तुं नः पशुपतिपराधीनहृदये
दयामित्रैर्नेत्रैररुणधवलश्यामरुचिभिः।
नदः शोणो गङ्गा तपनतनयोति ध्रुवममुं
त्रयाणां  तीर्थानामुपनयसि संभेदमनघम्॥

pavitrīkartuṁ naḥ paśupatiparādhīnahṛdaye
dayāmitrairnetrairaruṇadhavalaśyāmarucibhiḥ |
nadaḥ śoṇo gaṅgā tapanatanayoti dhruvamamuṁ
trayāṇāṁ  tīrthānāmupanayasi saṁbhedamanagham ||

Oh! Devi, you are influenced only by your Lord Parameswara who is the lord of all living beings. May the gaze from your three compassionate eyes, well lit with hues of red, white and black fall on us in order to free us of all our sins. They represent the three holy rivers, Shona river, Ganga and Yamuna (kalindi), respectively. I am sure that the confluence of the three rivers  has been formed to remove impurities of all living beings.

ദയാ മിത്രൈര്‍ നേത്രൈരരുണ ധവള ശ്യാമരുചിഭി:

നദ: ശോണോ ഗംഗാ തപന തനയോതി ധ്രുവമമും

ത്രയാണാം തീര്‍ത്ഥാനാം ഉപനയസി സംഭേദമനഘം

അല്ലയോ ഭഗവതീ, പശുപതിയായ പരമശിവനുമാത്രം സ്വാധീനമായ ഹൃദയത്തോടെയിരിക്കുന്ന അവിടുത്തെ മൂന്നു കണ്ണുകള്‍ ഞങ്ങളെ വിമലീകരിക്കാനായി കരുണാരസം പൊഴിച്ച് ചുവപ്പ്, വെളുപ്പ്‌, കറുപ്പ് എന്നീ നിറങ്ങളോടെ പ്രശോഭിക്കുന്നു. അവ യഥാക്രമം ശോണനദി, ഗംഗാനദി, യമുനാനദി (കാളിന്ദി) എന്നീ പുണ്യതീര്‍ത്ഥങ്ങളുടെ സംഗമത്തെ ഉപനയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് ഞങ്ങളെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നതിനാണ് എന്നു നിശ്ചയം.
