सरस्वत्याः सूक्तिरमृतलहरीकौशलहरीः
पिबन्त्याः शर्वाणि श्रवणचुलुकाभ्यामविरलम्।
चमत्कारश्लाघाचलितशिरसः कुण्डलगणो
झणत्कारैस्तारैः प्रतिवचनमाचष्ट इव ते॥

sarasvatyāḥ sūktiramṛtalaharīkauśalaharīḥ
pibantyāḥ śarvāṇi śravaṇaculukābhyāmaviralam |
camatkāraślāghācalitaśirasaḥ kuṇḍalagaṇo
jhaṇatkāraistāraiḥ prativacanamācaṣṭa iva te ||

Oh! Devi, consort of Sri Parameswara, the words flowing out of your mouth is like the flow of heavenly nectar.  Goddess Vani devi takes in every bit of those words slowly through her focused ears as one drinks the life giving nectar with his folded, cupped hands. As she enjoys your sweet words she shakes her head in appreciation and the tinkling sounds of her ear studs are heard aloud. Oh Devi, when I hear those tinkling sounds I wonder if they are not the words of appreciation uttered by the goddess of learning, Saraswathi, herself.

ഝണത്കാരൈസ്താരൈ: പ്രതിവചനമാചഷ്ട ഇവ തേ  

അല്ലയോ ദേവീ, പരമേശ്വര പ്രിയേ, അമൃതപ്രവാഹത്തിന്‍റെ മധുരിമയെ അതിശയിക്കുന്ന അവിടുത്തെ മധുവാണികളെ കൈക്കുമ്പിളില്‍ അമൃത് വാങ്ങിക്കുടിക്കുന്നത് പോലെ, ഒട്ടും ചോര്‍ന്നുപോവാതെ വാണീദേവി തന്‍റെ കാതുകളിലൂടെ സാവധാനത്തില്‍ ആസ്വദിച്ച് സദാ പാനം ചെയ്യുന്നുവല്ലോ. സരസ്വതീദേവി ആ മധുരോക്തികളിലെ ചമത്കാരചാരുതയെ ശ്ലാഘിച്ചു തലകുലുക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ആ ദേവിയുടെ കര്‍ണ്ണാഭരണങ്ങള്‍ കിലുങ്ങുന്നതിന്‍റെ ഝണഝണശബ്ദം ഉച്ചത്തില്‍ മുഴങ്ങുന്നത് കേട്ടാല്‍ ഭഗവതീ, അവ അവിടുത്തെ അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു മറുപടി പറയുകയാണോ എന്ന് തോന്നും.
