वहत्यंब! स्तंबेरमदनुजकुंभ प्रकृतिभि:

समारब्धां मुक्तामणिभिरमलां हारलतिकां

कुचाभागो बिंबाधर रुचिभिरन्त: शबळितां

प्रतापव्यामिश्रां पुरदमयितु: कीर्‍त्तिमिव ते

vahatyaṁba! staṁberamadanujakuṁbha prakr̥tibhi:
samārabdhāṁ muktāmaṇibhiramalāṁ hāralatikāṁ
kucābhāgo biṁbādhara rucibhiranta: śabaḻitāṁ
pratāpavyāmiśrāṁ puradamayitu: kīr‍ttimiva te

Oh! Mother, the beautiful necklace worn at the middle of your breasts are made of pearls obtained from the skull of Gajasura, the demon who was killed by your Lord Parameswara. Those glittering pearls project mysterious arrays of colorful lights as they reflect the redness of your lips that resembles the bimba fruits. Looking at this necklace I wonder if it is not carrying the mighty power, fame and glory of your Lord, Siva, who is known as Thipuranthaka, the scorcher of three cities.

വഹത്യംബ! സ്തംബേര മദനുജകുംഭ പ്രകൃതിഭി:

സമാരബ്ധാം മുക്താമണിഭിരമലാം ഹാരലതികാം

കുചാഭാഗോ ബിംബാധര രുചിഭിരന്ത: ശബളിതാം

പ്രതാപവ്യാമിശ്രാം പുരദമയിതു: കീര്‍ത്തിമിവ തേ 

അമ്മേ, അവിടുത്തെ സ്തനങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യത്തില്‍ അണിഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ള മണിമാല ഗജാസുരന്‍റെ മസ്തകത്തില്‍ നിന്നു ലഭിച്ച നിര്‍മ്മലമായ മുത്തുകള്‍കൊണ്ട് നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചതാണ്‌. അവിടുത്തെ തൊണ്ടിപ്പഴം പോലെ അരുണിമയാര്‍ന്ന ചുണ്ടുകളുടെ കാന്തി ആ മുത്തുകളില്‍ പ്രതിഫലിച്ച് അവയുടെ ഉള്ളില്‍ വിചിത്രമായുള്ള വര്‍ണ്ണരാജികള്‍ കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. ഗജാസുരനിഗ്രഹകനും ത്രിപുരാന്തകനുമായ അവിടുത്തെ നാഥന്‍ ശ്രീ പരമേശ്വരന്‍റെ പ്രതാപമാര്‍ന്ന കീര്‍ത്തി വഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാണോ ആ മുത്തുമണിമാല അവിടുത്തെ മാറിടത്തെ അലങ്കരിക്കുന്നത് എന്ന് ഞാന്‍ സന്ദേഹിക്കുന്നു.
