विशाला कल्याणी स्फुटरुचिरयोध्या कुवलयैः
कृपाधाराधारा किमपि मधुराभोगवतिका।
अवन्ती दृष्टिस्ते बहुनगरविस्तारविजया
ध्रुवं तत्तन्नामव्यवहरणयोग्या विजयते॥

viśālā kalyāṇī sphuṭarucirayodhyā kuvalayaiḥ
kṛpādhārādhārā kimapi madhurābhogavatikā |
avantī dṛṣṭiste bahunagaravistāravijayā
dhruvaṁ tattannāmavyavaharaṇayogyā vijayate ||

Oh! Mother! You have eight types of gaze, representing eight cities where you play your sport. As your gaze is very widespread, it is called Vishala. As it is expansive and bright, it is called Kalyani. As it is unbeatable even by the blue lilies, it is called Ayodhya. As your gaze overflows with compassions, it is called Dhara. As it is projecting sweetness beyond words, it is called Madhura. As it bestows unlimited worldly pleasures, it is Bhogavathika. As your gaze protects the world, it is called Avanthika. As your gaze encompasses and wins over many cities together it is called Vijaya Nagara. Thus your gaze represents eight major cities and at the same time they are used in Tantra to deal with eight types of karma.

വിശാലാ കല്യാണീ സ്ഫുടരുചിരയോദ്ധ്യാ കുവലയൈ:

കൃപാധാരാധാരാ കിമപി മധുരാഭോഗവതികാ

അവന്തീ ദൃഷ്ടീസ്തേ ബഹുനഗരവിസ്താര വിജയാ

ധ്രുവം തത്തന്നാമ വ്യവഹരണ യോഗ്യാ വിജയതേ

അല്ലയോ അമ്മേ, എട്ടുവിധത്തിലുള്ള ദൃഷ്ടികളും ആ ദൃഷ്ടികളാല്‍ വ്യവഹരിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന എട്ടു നഗരങ്ങളും അവിടുത്തെ പ്രാഭവങ്ങളാകുന്നു. വിശാലദൃഷ്ടിയാകയാല്‍ അവിടുത്തെ ദൃഷ്ടി വിശാലയാണ്. വിടര്‍ന്നുപ്രഭയാര്‍ന്നു നില്‍ക്കുന്നതാകയാല്‍ അവിടുത്തെ ദൃഷ്ടി കല്യാണിയാണ്. ചാരുതയില്‍ കരിങ്കൂവളപ്പൂക്കള്‍ക്ക് ജയിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയാത്തതിനാല്‍ അവിടുത്തെ ദൃഷ്ടി അയോദ്ധ്യയാണ്. കൃപാപ്രവാഹത്തിന് ആധാരയായി വിളങ്ങുന്നതിനാല്‍ അവിടുത്തെ ദൃഷ്ടി ധാരയാണ്. പറഞ്ഞറിയിക്കാനാവാത്ത മാധുര്യം ഹേതുവായി അവിടുത്തെ ദൃഷ്ടി മധുരയാണ്. അളവില്ലാത്ത ഭോഗസുഖം നല്‍കുന്നതിനാല്‍ അവിടുത്തെ ദൃഷ്ടി ഭോഗവതികയാണ്. ലോകരക്ഷചെയ്യുന്നതിനാല്‍ അവിടുത്തെ ദൃഷ്ടി അവന്തികയാണ്. ബഹുനഗരസമഷ്ടികളെ നിറഞ്ഞുനില്‍ക്കുന്നതിനാല്‍ അവിടുത്തെ ദൃഷ്ടി വിജയനഗരവുമാണ്. അവിടുത്തെ ദൃഷ്ടി അഷ്ടനഗരങ്ങളെ പ്രതിനിധാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു. മാത്രമല്ല അത് സംക്ഷോഭണം, ആകര്‍ഷണം, ദ്രാവണം, ഉന്മാദം, വശ്യം, ഉച്ചാടനം, വിദ്വേഷണം, മാരണം എന്നീ തന്ത്രകര്‍മ്മങ്ങള്‍ക്കും ഉപയോഗ്യമത്രേ.
