कलङ्कः कस्तूरी रजनिकरबिम्बं जलमयं
कलाभिः कर्पूरैर्मकतकरण्डं निबिडितम्।
अतस्त्वद्भोगेन प्रतिदिनमिदं रिक्तकुहरं
विधिर्भूयो भूयो निबिडयति नूनं तव कृते॥

kalaṅkaḥ kastūrī rajanikarabimbaṁ jalamayaṁ
kalābhiḥ karpūrairmakatakaraṇḍaṁ nibiḍitam |
atastvadbhogena pratidinamidaṁ riktakuharaṁ
vidhirbhūyo bhūyo nibiḍayati nūnaṁ tava kṛte ||

Oh! Bhagavathy, you get your rose water from the moon and the blemish on the moon is the fragrant kastoori musk for your daily use. The moon itself is a jewel box made of emerald which contains the crescents stored like bits of camphor. As this precious box become empty due to your regular use, Lord Brahma refills this box with these items daily for your use.

അതസ്ത്വദ് ഭോഗേന പ്രതിദിനമിദം രിക്തകുഹരം

വിധിര്‍ഭൂയോ ഭൂയോ നിബിഡയതി നൂനം തവ കൃതേ

അല്ലയോ ഭഗവതീ, ചന്ദ്രമണ്ഡലത്തിലെ ജലം അവിടുത്തേയ്ക്ക് ഉപയോഗിക്കാനുള്ള പനിനീരാണ്. അതിലെ കളങ്കം കസ്തൂരിയാണ്. ചന്ദ്രബിംബം കലകളാകുന്ന കര്‍പ്പൂരത്തരികളെ ഇട്ടുവയ്ക്കാനുള്ള മരതകച്ചെപ്പാണ്. നിത്യോപയോഗം മൂലം ഒഴിഞ്ഞ ഉള്‍ഭാഗത്തോട് കൂടിയ ആ ചെപ്പ് അവിടുത്തേയ്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി നിത്യവും നിറച്ച് വയ്ക്കുന്നത് ബ്രഹ്മാവാണ്.
