गिरामाहुर्देवीं द्रुहिणगृहिणीमागमविदो
हरेः पत्नीं पद्मं हरसहचरीमद्रितनयाम्।
तुरिया कापि त्वं दुरधिगम निस्सीममहिमा
महामाया विश्वं भ्रमयसि परब्रह्ममहिषि॥

girāmāhurdevīṁ druhiṇagṛhiṇīmāgamavido
hareḥ patnīṁ padmaṁ harasahacarīmadritanayām |
turiyā kāpi tvaṁ duradhigama nissīmamahimā
mahāmāyā viśvaṁ bhramayasi parabrahmamahiṣi ||

Oh! Bhagavathy, you are the Parashakthi, consort of Parabrahma, the supreme reality. Without the full comprehension, Vedic scholars address you as Saraswathi, the wife of Brahma; Lakshmi, the wife of Vishnu; and Parvathy, the wife of Rudra, etc. But you are that fourth one who cannot be expressed in words or addressed by names. You are very hard to comprehend as you are the Mahamaya, the very source of Brahma, Vishnu and Siva. You are the limitless one, the power of thureeya who makes the universe move.

ഗിരാമാഹുര്‍ ദേവീം ദ്രുഹിണ ഗൃഹിണീമാഗമവിദോ

ഹരേ: പത്നീം പദ്മാം ഹരസഹചരീമദ്രി തനയാം

തുരീയാ കാപി ത്വം ദുരധിഗമ നിസ്സീമമഹിമാ

മഹാ മായാ വിശ്വം ഭ്രമയസി പരബ്രഹ്മ മഹിഷി

അല്ലയോ പരബ്രഹ്മത്തിന്‍റെ പട്ടമഹിഷിയായ ഭഗവതീ, വേദപണ്ഡിതന്മാര്‍ അവിടുത്തെ ബ്രഹ്മപത്നിയായ സരസ്വതിയെന്നും, വിഷ്ണുപത്നിയായ ലക്ഷ്മീദേവിയെന്നും, രുദ്രപത്നിയായ പാര്‍വ്വതിയെന്നും സംബോധന ചെയ്യുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ നീയോ ഈ മൂന്നിനും അതീയയായവളും വാക്കുകളാല്‍ വിവരിക്കാന്‍ ആര്‍ക്കുമാവാത്തതുമായ നാലാമതൊന്നാണ്. നിസ്സീമമായ മഹിമയ്ക്ക് ഉടമയും തുരീയശക്തിയുമായ അവിടുത്തെ അറിയുക എന്നത്  അതിക്ലേശകരമത്രേ. ത്രിമൂര്‍ത്തികളുടെ മൂലകാരണഭൂതയും വിശ്വത്തെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിക്കുന്ന മഹാമായയുമാണ് നീ.
